Dr. Stelios Rekkas MD FACS
Dr Rekkas was raised in Anna Maria Island, Florida. After graduating from Manatee High School he went on to graduate with high honors from the University of Florida. He later went on to attended medical school at Florida State University. He completed his General Surgery residency was at Mount Sinai Medical Center and later completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive, Bariatric, and Robotic Surgery at Jackson Hospital in Miami, Florida.
He specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgeries that provide less scaring, pain and quicker recovery to his patients. He also is one of the few surgeons in Florida that performs Robotic Surgery using the daVinci Robotic Surgery Platform.

Dr. Alfredo Cordova MD
Alfredo Cordova, MD, is a board-certified General Surgeon who earned his medical degree in Lima, Peru. He trained as a general surgery resident at the Lahey Clinic, Tufts University, and served as chief resident at Henry Ford Hospital. He completed a clinical fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a post-doctoral research associate at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Cordova holds an appointment as a clinical assistant professor in Surgery and Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University and serves as a Major in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army.
His surgical services include minimally invasive surgery, hernia repair, breast, endocrine surgery, colon and rectal surgery and flexible endoscopy.
Dr. Angel Llanio DO
Dr. Llanio received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Llanio’s professional memberships include the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians and The American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Llanio speaks fluent Spanish. He specializes in medical nonoperative weight loss options.
Marie Belle: Practice Manager
Marie has been in the Healthcare profession since 1996 and has worked in various aspects of the medical field. As the practice administrator, Marie leads our team of dedicated staff and is responsible for the day to day operational management of the practice. Marie handles all aspects of the administrative pathway to surgery for our patients. “As a Manatee County Resident, I am excited to be working with a talented surgeon who also wants to give back to his home town.”
Margaret Adams, RD, LDN, CDE
Margaret offers dietician services for diabetes education, heart disease and obesity counseling. Margaret loves having the chance to develop long term relationships with patients and with helping them through the variety of healthcare needs that are common among bariatric surgery patients. Margaret educates patients with diabetes, heart healthy meals, renal concerns, low salt diets, bariatric and weight reduction diets.

Kim is a Florida native with over 15 years’ experience as a licensed nurse. Kim provides and coordinates exceptional patient care, educates patients and provides advice and support to patients and their family members. Kim is extremely attentive to detail and offers a kind and compassionate approach. She takes pride in being an advocate for optimal patient experience and outcomes within the practice.
